2 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup of almonds

2 cups of water

¼ teaspoon paprika

3 oz scallion, chopped

kosher salt, to taste

black pepper, to taste

How to Prepare:

Preheat the oven to 250˚-270˚Fahrenheit and roast the almonds in the oven for 10 minutes until lightly browned and crispy and then set aside to cool completely.
Then grind the almonds using a food processor or blender. Add all the ingredients to your Instant Pot except the chopped scallion and ground almonds.
Close the lid of the Pot and press the Manual key to cook on a MEDIUM pressure for 15 minutes.
Once cooked, release the pressure naturally and open the lid.
Sprinkle the almonds on top.
Portion the oatmeal into two bowls or mugs and dollop each bowl with the chopped scallion. Remember that this dish should be served warm. Serve the spice oatmeal with the tea or cocoa.
